Minchinhampton rugby club official opening

Early March saw the completion of Minchinhampton Rugby Club house. Director Matt Austin is a former club captain and was delighted to design a permanent home for the popular club. Players had previously used outdoor showers and shipping containers in a field as their base. Matt’s design and material choice was based on a traditional pole barn in order that it blended sympathetically with the surrounding rural landscape.

The official opening was marked with an exhibition rugby match captained by current player Mike Tindall. The ribbon was dutifully snipped by Her Royal Highness, Princess Anne. Following the match everyone congregated inside to enjoy the new building ably helped by ample quantities of beer and pork rolls!
