Completed in July 2018, this project began with the demolition of a sprawling 1950s house in a quaint village in Gloucestershire. The property was lacking in character with multiple extensions in previous years creating a house which was a maze of rooms, with a bulky garage blocking the panoramic views across the surrounding valley.

The client’s desire for a ‘wow-factor’ home has been recognised with a thermally efficient building sympathetic to the style which preceded it. Timber clad and rendered externally, the clean finishes continue internally with a feature staircase the point of focus on entering the home. Joiner-made on site, the stair sits in front of double-height glazing, with the fins allowing filtered light through to the kitchen and dining space. The house is generous in size, providing 4 bedrooms and studies, snug and music spaces.

“We have really enjoyed being up there as the spaces and light inside the house work really well. We would like to thank you and your team for working with us to create a lovely home both inside and out.  It is being much admired by friends, neighbours and passers-by.”
