ROOKEry House

The client and owners of this traditional Cotswold house required an extensive refurbishment of their property in order to achieve the upgrade they desired. Our first project with local contractors DJP Construction included extensions to the existing property to create an additional second floor and a ground floor cinema room.

The project was partially limited by the quality of previous extensions, so it was necessary to work meticulously in order to resolve the existing elements and establish a thermal upgrade to the whole building. Further features introduced to the home included energy saving measures of triple glazed windows and doors, sophisticated low-energy dimmers and the installation of a Lutron lighting control system.

We worked closely with the client who was very involved in the decision-making process, which was informative and fluid, also allowing for a great relationship with the sub-contractor to create bespoke details and specification. The house is complimented by exterior spaces created with limestone walls and sandstone paving.
