A visit to Knepp

Injured soprano pipistrelle from the Sussex Bat Hospital

The Knepp Estate rewilding project is located in West Sussex and is known for it’s innovative approach to conservation and rewilding.

The project started in 2001 and involved the transformation of farmland into a more natural and biodiverse landscape. By allowing the land to evolve naturally, and through the introduction of natural land management Knepp has seen a significant increase in biodiversity. Rare and endangered species, including birds, insects and plants, have thrived in the rewilded environment.

Recently our Assistant Landscape Architect, Eliza, went for a visit as part of Resurgence, a Young Wilders event.

Well worth a visit…
